Chief guest of honour - Lamin J Darbo deliverying his speech

"Kombo Sillah’s celebration of virtues did not stop at “standing shoulder to shoulder” with one another, but have continued to recognise our commitment to our communities in the Gambia" -

Malang Darboe

"Private identity should have no bearing on public space, and for all our sakes, the only Gambia capable of protecting our individual and collective dignity is one that celebrates diversity even as it adamantly strives to ameliorate the potentially destructive excesses of tribalism. I counsel that we reject parochialism in favour of the inescapable reality that Gambias constituent tribal communities are condemned to a common fate of happiness or tragedy ". -

Lamin J Darbo

"Personally, I am happy to be associated as a friend with the good work of Kombo Sillah Association. It is a source of joy and honour beyond words for me to be invited to this Congress and given the opportunity to share some thoughts with my fellow sons and daughters of Gunjur. I came to you in four folds, one as a Gunjurian, a friend, a brother, and as Chairman of Gambians in Finland". -
